Cotton Candy arrived in 2019 as part of Ganache Parfums' Super Secret Summer Collection, a series from Jarekhye Covarrubias. The fragrance operates as one of the most direct translations of a single, universally recognized sweet into a perfumed composition. Cotton candy, the carnival treat spun from heated sugar around a paper cone, becomes the literal subject rather than a vague suggestion. The creative impulse reads as straightforward: take a snack most people know from childhood outings and treat its specific qualities with the kind of focus usually reserved for more austere materials. The stick, the wispy web of sugar, the brief window before it dissolves into sticky fingers. Cotton Candy doesn't recreate that experience note by note.
What gives Cotton Candy its distinction is the iris and orris root threading through the heart. Those two materials introduce a powdery coolness that offsets the spun sugar, keeping the sweetness from collapsing into pure confection.
