The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Cashmere collection marked EOS's formal entry into fine-fragrance territory in 2025, translating the brand's accessible self-care philosophy into something with more complexity than a typical body mist. Peppermint Cashmere was designed to capture something specific: the feeling of holiday season without the expected gestures. No evergreen, no cinnamon overload. Instead, a tension, cool and warm at the same time. Candy cane brightness meeting caramel sweetness, held together by a soft cashmere base that keeps everything grounded and wearable.
The candy cane note does the heavy lifting in the opening, it announces holiday without being literal about it. The real sophistication is in the base: sandalwood and musk create what the brand calls cashmere, a soft warmth that prevents the sweetness from overwhelming. Marshmallow and white chocolate in the heart layer give it that gooey, vanillic quality that makes the drydown feel comforting rather than cloying. It's a composition that takes familiar holiday notes and assembles them with intention, making something that reads as cozy without crossing into seasonal candle territory.
The evolution
The opening hits fast, candy cane clarity with caramel sweetness underneath, a bright-sweet tension that lasts about five minutes. By the time you hit the ten-minute mark, the mint has settled into something cooler and the white chocolate-marshmallow heart takes over, softer and more intimate. The base is where this separates itself from standard body mists. Sandalwood and musk arrive late, wrapping around the sweetness and transforming it into something cashmere-soft, warm, close, lasting several hours on most skin types.
Cultural impact
The EOS Cashmere Body Mists represent a broader shift in how accessible beauty brands approach fragrance, taking the positioning of fine fragrance and applying it to everyday price points. Peppermint Cashmere stands apart because it avoids the most literal holiday associations. Peppermint typically signals seasonal limited editions that disappear in January. Here, the mint is balanced by caramel, white chocolate, and a cashmere base that makes the composition wearable year-round. It's targeted at someone who loves sweet, cozy scents but finds traditional holiday fragrances too on-the-nose or too temporary.
