The beginning
Love the way you Feel arrived in 2018, composed by Calice Becker, one of the perfumers who shaped the fragrance's final form. The composition draws directly from monoi oil, that Polynesian infusion of coconut and tiare flower with a long history of cosmetic use. Rather than rebuilding it from raw materials, the fragrance treats monoi as the jumping-off point: a tropical composition built around the same tension that makes monoi so addictive, the boundary between applied scent and the body underneath it. The result reads as a reformulation of the iconic monoi oil, translated into a new floral blend that keeps the original's creamy warmth while shifting it into something wearable as a spray.
The interesting move here is restraint. Tiare flower and ylang-ylang could easily collapse into sunscreen territory, and coconut-vanilla compositions have a long history of crossing into the cloying. What saves Love the way you Feel is how thin the bridge between floral and gourmand stays. The neroli opening introduces a bitter-green thread that never quite leaves. The coconut reads as oil, not cream. And the vanilla underneath carries just enough weight to anchor everything without sweetening it past the point of return. The evolution
The first ten minutes are the brightest. Bergamot and neroli land with a green-citrus snap that feels closer to a Mediterranean garden than a beach. Then the tiare flower and ylang-ylang arrive together, and the composition pivots into something distinctly tropical, almost sunscreen-adjacent, with that recognizable warm-floral character of monoi-infused skin.
