Note Di Colonia IV arrived in 2017 as the collection's Oriental Floral chapter, exploring what happens when you keep the citrus clarity but build the foundation with deeper, warmer materials. The name itself signals lineage: this is part of a series, each one a variation on a theme the house has been composing for over a century.
What's notable about this composition is its restraint within ambition. Turkish rose and orange blossom sit at the heart, but they're not the dominant force, they're the bridge between the bright citrus opening and the resinous base. Labdanum and opoponax bring a balsamic warmth that feels almost tactile, while patchouli keeps everything grounded in something earthy and persistent. The evolution
