Musk Yas

White musk as the opening note is unusual. In most compositions, it anchors the drydown. Here it leads, which means the entire fragrance builds around a soft, animalic warmth that never fully disappears. The jasmine adds a white floral creaminess that keeps the musk from reading as sterile or soapy. Rose bridges the citrus opening and the woody base. The evolution

First impression: white musk at its cleanest, almost powdery. Lemon and mandarin lift the top notes, giving the musk an immediate brightness that prevents it from feeling heavy. Rose appears within minutes, tempering the citrus with something softer. Ten minutes in, jasmine arrives to take over the floral role, creamier than the rose, more insistent. The amber doesn't announce itself so much as accumulate, warming everything underneath. By the second hour, the composition has settled: musk and jasmine close to the skin, amber providing the warmth, woody notes holding everything down. The drydown lasts well past sunset. Eight to ten hours means this is still present the next morning, not projecting, but close, intimate, the kind of scent that someone leaning in will discover before you tell them what you're wearing.
