The beginning
The Dua Brand built White Hot Chocolate & Rum in 2022 as part of their Original Blend Collection, a line that grew out of a simple premise: a gourmand composition can be rich and considered without carrying a luxury price tag. There was no reference to decode, no high-end original to rebuild, just a flavor translated directly into fragrance. The brief reads like a dessert menu: white chocolate where cocoa usually sits, rum where whiskey or bourbon would normally take the stage, and peppermint threading through the whole thing to keep the sweetness honest. Marshmallow and whipped cream pile on the density, and the final composition comes together as chocolate warmth braided with a cooling spice, something that lingers like the last sip of a hot drink poured slowly on a cold evening.
What makes this composition interesting is the peppermint doing structural work rather than just sitting up top. Most of the sweetness is built on a foundation of white chocolate, whipped cream, and marshmallow, three notes that could collapse into a single sugary impression if left alone. The evolution
