The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Treasure Femme arrived in 2023 as part of The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression line, also known as the Dua Designer Line. This particular release pays tribute to Lancôme's Trésor, the 1990 amber floral that became one of the house's defining compositions. The fragrance slots into that catalog with a specific angle: a compact 34ml extrait de parfum, potent in format, designed to carry the older Trésor formulation's full density into something you can slip into a bag. Trésor itself, widely regarded as Lancôme's biggest commercial hit, set the template for the powdery-fruity amber floral genre, and any release under the Inspired Expression banner exists in dialogue with that legacy.
The reason this composition works is the tension between the fruit and the powder. Peach, apricot blossom, and pineapple deliver an almost edible juiciness up top, but the heart pulls hard in the opposite direction. Iris, rose, jasmine, and heliotrope build a dense, velvety floral core that reads more like cosmetics than like dessert. That friction, the sweet fruit crashing into the sophisticated powder, is what gives the whole structure its grip. Add sandalwood and vanilla underneath for warmth, musk and amber for skin-adhesion, and you get a scent that feels both generous and composed.
The evolution
The opening tastes like biting into a ripe apricot, with peach and pineapple adding tropical lift and bergamot cutting just enough to keep the sweetness honest. Lily of the valley adds a green shimmer underneath, the kind that keeps fruit accords from going flat or syrupy. As the composition settles, the fruit fades and the florals arrive in full: iris, rose, jasmine, and heliotrope settle into a powdery, almost lipstick-soft heart. This is the phase that defines the fragrance, the moment it stops being fruity and starts being unmistakably a Trésor-style floral. Sandalwood and lilac work the edges, adding creaminess and a cool green counterpoint that keeps the powder from feeling chalky. From there the base takes over, and the shift is gradual rather than abrupt.
Cultural impact
Treasure Femme exists in dialogue with Lancôme's Trésor, the 1990 amber floral that became one of the house's defining compositions and remains widely regarded as Lancôme's biggest commercial hit. The extrait concentration gives the release a depth that lighter formats can't match, and the compact 34ml format makes it portable in a way that older Trésor presentations often weren't.
