The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Drippin' Pumpkin arrived in 2026 from The Dua Brand, composed by perfumer Mahsam Raza as part of the house's Inspired Expression line. The fragrance reads as an homage to Glazed Pumpkin by Bath and Body Works, a scent the brand has chosen to translate into a wearable format. Mahsam Raza's composition keeps the work direct and uncomplicated. No smoke, no spice, no bitter edge to complicate the picture. Just vanilla, caramel, and pumpkin, stacked with the warmth of a sugary autumn profile. The vanilla opens soft and sweet, lending a creamy base that smooths everything around it. The caramel arrives in the middle, offering a slow-cooked warmth that reads rich without burning.
Three notes. One accord. That's the whole pyramid, and that's what makes it worth pausing on. The pumpkin isn't spiced pumpkin. It's pumpkin as a sweet, soft presence, a vegetal cream that sits in the blend without shouting. The caramel carries the warmth that spice usually provides, taking on the role of the structural element in a fragrance that has chosen to skip the usual aromatics. The vanilla opens the door and never really closes it, threading through every phase of the wear with a steady sweetness.
The evolution
The opening hits soft, vanilla already creamed into something warm rather than sharp or boozy. There's an immediate plushness to the first few minutes, the kind of sweetness that reads comforting from the start without ever tipping into syrupy territory. Within fifteen minutes the caramel takes over, not as a burnt-sugar offering, more like the warm, slow-cooked kind, the scent of caramel that never got close to the flame. It sweetens everything around it, wrapping the vanilla in a deeper, more rounded sweetness that adds a buttery edge to the composition. An hour in and the pumpkin arrives in the base, thick and vegetal-sweet, the kind of cooked-pumpkin character you'd get from a pie filling rather than a raw squash. The pumpkin doesn't introduce anything sharp or surprising. It deepens the warmth already established, adding a creamy vegetal layer that grounds the sweeter top notes.
Cultural impact
Drippin' Pumpkin is a fragrance that knows exactly what it wants to be. A three-note composition with no spice, no smoke, no counterpoint to sweeten the sweetness, it's an unusually direct entry in any gourmand context. There's no complexity hiding underneath the sugar, no clever twist waiting in the drydown. The vanilla, caramel, and pumpkin stack into a single warm impression and stay there, offering a consistent experience from the first spray to the final hours of wear. It's a fragrance for wearers who want sugary comfort on skin without paying for ceremony.
