Why it exists.
The beginning
The Dua Brand launched Delight of Cotton Candy & Marshmallow in 2026 as a DUA Original Creation, a gourmand built from the ground up around one question: what happens when childhood sweetness is given the house's signature depth and staying power? The brand turned its attention to the candy counter. No high-end reference. No designer blueprint. Just a pure-play gourmand that wears its sugar on the outside and its warmth underneath. Part of the Inspired Hybrid / Dua Designer Line collection, it carries the label's house style of approachable layering, with a cotton candy, led top, a tea-and-floral heart, and a resinous base built around Peru balsam and tonka bean. Vegan-friendly, gender-fluid, and unashamed of being sweet.
The composition is a layered gourmand, not a one-note confection. Where the sugar stays high, the matcha and maté thread through the heart with a quiet, slightly astringent lift, a grassy, almost mineral coolness that keeps the cotton candy from collapsing into syrup. Star jasmine and sandalwood build a soft floral-woody spine, giving the mid-palate something structural to lean on, something creamy but not heavy, slightly milky where the sandalwood meets the jasmine, almost like the inside of a confection wrapper.
The evolution
The opening is a bright, almost fizzy sweetness, cotton candy and brown sugar tumbling over mango and coconut water, a little effervescent, a little syrupy. After about 20 minutes, the matcha and maté step in with a clean, slightly grassy coolness that cuts through the sugar rush. That's the phase that surprises people. It's not what you expect from something called Delight of Cotton Candy & Marshmallow. The marshmallow and Bourbon vanilla arrive next, soft and pillowy, settling over the sandalwood and star jasmine with a creamy, almost edible warmth. Peru balsam and tonka bean anchor the base, adding a golden, resinous edge that stops the sweetness from turning cloying. The drydown is warm sugar and skin musk, the kind of trail that stays on a sweater overnight and greets you the next morning.
