The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Multiball arrived in 2023 to mark one year of Pearfat Parfum. But instead of a restrained, milestone-appropriate release, Alie Kiral turned to the sensory world of American arcades, not nostalgic, not ironic. Just honest. The sweet-fizzy drinks, the worn wood grain, the metallic tang of a machine designed to be played ten thousand times. Lime opens the composition first, arriving bright and direct. Then the cola itself, with its caramel weight and carbonated lift. Patchouli keeps the sweetness grounded, metallic notes add an unexpected edge, and cedarwood in the drydown is waxy, intimate, close.
What makes Multiball work is the tension between arcade brightness and something darker underneath. The cola note isn't sugary, it's atmospheric, the kind of sweetness that belongs to a specific moment rather than a general mood. Lime gives the opening its fizz, and that fizz doesn't feel synthetic or forced. It feels like the drink just opened. Cedarwood arrives late and changes the composition's character: the sharp edge drops away, replaced by something worn and intimate. The fragrance moves from high-score energy to quiet satisfaction, and it lasts long enough to carry that arc through a full workday.
The evolution
The opening hits fast, lime zest and carbonated fizz arrive together, bright and sharp. Thirty minutes in, the cola settles: caramel sweetness without the syrup weight, still effervescent on the skin. The metallic note threads through here, adding an unexpected current that keeps the sweet from feeling soft. Patchouli arrives at the hour mark, earthy and slightly bitter, grounding everything before the drydown takes over. Cedarwood is the payoff, waxy, vintage, almost like the wood paneling of an old arcade cabinet. It stays close, intimate, and transforms through the day into something quieter and more personal.
Cultural impact
Multiball has found an audience among fragrance wearers who collect for novelty, not convention. Some find the metallic edge polarizing; others consider it the element that elevates the composition from thematic gimmick to something genuinely interesting. The lime-cola combination offers something different from more common sweet fragrances. Those drawn to it tend to appreciate how the notes interact, finding the complexity worth returning to again and again.
