Heritage
A house, in its own words
Kiko Milano was founded in Milan, Italy, as a cosmetics brand that would eventually expand into fragrance production. The company's entry into perfumery began in 2013 with the release of Digital Reflection, followed by Visionary in 2014. These early fragrance offerings established Kiko's approach to accessible yet distinctive scents. The brand continued releasing new fragrances over the following years, including Oasis Sunset and Velvet Passion in 2016, expanding its portfolio across different scent families. In 2021, Kiko introduced the Ray Of Love In Love Scented Mist, reflecting a growing interest in body mists and lighter fragrance formats. The Holiday Première L'Étoile White arrived in 2023, while 2024 saw the release of Montenapleone District and Isola District, both part of the Scent of Milan collection. The most recent addition to the lineup, Colonne District, launched in 2025. Throughout its fragrance history, Kiko has maintained its Italian production roots, with scents formulated and manufactured in Italy. The brand's evolution from cosmetics to fragrance reflects its broader strategy of offering complete beauty and self-expression products to consumers. Kiko positions itself as a brand built for self-expression, stating it captures global trends while infusing them with a distinctive Italian perspective. This philosophy extends to its fragrance collections, where the Scent of Milan line embodies the spirit of different Milan districts, from historic Art Nouveau architecture to contemporary nightlife destinations. The brand frames its scents as stories tied to specific places and experiences, inviting wearers to connect fragrance with urban geography and personal identity. Kiko's approach emphasizes accessibility, offering perfumes that reflect current trends without positioning itself within the traditional luxury fragrance segment. The five-fragrance Scent of Milan collection represents this democratized approach to scent storytelling, presenting distinct olfactory profiles as different expressions of femininity and urban Italian life. Rather than focusing on rare ingredients or heritage perfumery traditions, Kiko centers its philosophy on contemporary relevance and personal connection to place and mood.
