Jungle Serenity

Looking at the structure, cypress, black pepper, leaves, and the mist note appear at both the top and the heart, while sandalwood carries through to the base. That shared presence across layers creates a notable continuity, with each material retaining its character rather than folding into a new shape halfway through. The green accord runs through the entire experience, softening slightly as the sandalwood gains presence, but never fully disappearing. The aquatic and fougère classifications point to a freshness that persists without crossing into anything ozonic or synthetic-sweet.

The evolution

The opening hits cold and immediate. Cypress dominates from the first spray, sharp and resinous, with the mist note wrapping around it in something almost mineral, calling to mind dewy concrete and wet bark more than any literal rainforest. Black pepper arrives early and stays, giving the opening a quiet bite that prevents the green from going flat. There's a synthetic coolness at play here, but it reads as crisp rather than artificial. Once the composition settles, the leaves materialise properly. They smell alive, chlorophyll-rich, the way a torn herb leaf smells between your fingers. The mist recedes slightly but never disappears entirely, continuing to lend the whole thing its signature coolness. As the hours pass, the composition shifts gradually toward sandalwood, though it never abandons the green entirely.
