Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story of Hilde Soliani begins in Parma, where the eponymous founder cultivated a career that straddles performance, painting and jewellery design. In 2005 she launched her first fragrance, Ti Amo (I Love You), a simple yet confident statement that announced her entry into the niche perfume world. Early releases such as Osare (2015) and Evviva (2017) expanded her palette, introducing bold gourmand accords that quickly attracted a cult following among scent enthusiasts. 2014 marked a turning point with the introduction of the Senshilde range, a series of olfactory tributes to culinary friends, including Miss Tranchant, a scent inspired by chef Mauro Uliassi’s butter and oyster. This collaboration signaled Hilde’s willingness to cross‑disciplinary boundaries, treating the kitchen as another laboratory for fragrance. Subsequent years saw a steady stream of releases—Donna Sentenza (2018), Lambrosc (2017), and the holiday‑centric E Sempre Natale (2024)—each reinforcing her reputation for inventive storytelling through scent. In 2025 she unveiled Mlon e Parsot, a continuation of her experimental ethos, proving that after two decades the brand still thrives on curiosity and artistic risk‑taking. Throughout, Hilde has remained rooted in Parma, a city whose rich cultural heritage informs her work, while her global reach grows through boutique retailers and niche fragrance communities. Hilde Soliani describes herself as an "artista dell'olfatto e del gusto" – an artist of smell and taste – and this dual identity shapes every bottle. Her creative vision embraces playfulness, encouraging the wearer to experience perfume as an emotion rather than a product. The brand values collaboration, evident in the Senshilde line where chefs become co‑authors, and in the way she draws from her own background in theatre and visual arts to craft narratives that feel both personal and theatrical. Hilde rejects the notion of perfume as a static commodity; instead, she treats each composition as a fleeting performance, inviting the audience to linger, reinterpret, and even laugh. This approach aligns with her belief that scent should mirror the spontaneity of daily life, turning ordinary moments – a sip of coffee, a bite of strawberry, the brine of an oyster – into fragrant memories that linger long after the experience has passed.
