In 2017, perfumer Christine Nagel was tasked with translating that spirit of youthful freedom into scent. Not a flanker, not a limited edition, but a full fragrance that could carry that energy on its own. The result pairs ginger, bright, almost candied, with the delicate creaminess of white florals and a soft sandalwood base. Nagel has said she wanted to make something optimistic and lively, a floral that refuses to be ordinary. The scarf became the metaphor: something elegant that refuses to stay folded.
What makes Twilly d'Hermès interesting is the way ginger and tuberose interact. Ginger brings clean heat, a spice without fire, while tuberose adds creamy white floral warmth.
