The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Icon Jewel sits inside Ga-De's broader Icon series, a collection built on the premise that luxury scent shouldn't require a luxury budget. The Icon line brings together several variations on that theme, and Icon Jewel emerged as one of the more assertive floral statements in the family. Where some entries in the series lean sweeter or fruitier, this one commits fully to white florals, layering tuberose and jasmine with enough amber and spice to give the composition real presence. The opening carries that crisp, indolic bite that comes with well-handled tuberose, a green, almost rubbery edge that prickles before softening into something creamier. As the top notes settle, the jasmine folds in, sweet and slightly carnal, lending volume to the tuberose rather than competing with it.
The choice to build a floral-oriental around tuberose and neroli rather than the more common rose-jasmine pairing gives Icon Jewel its particular weight. Tuberose carries an indolic edge, a creamy density that reads almost carnal on warm skin. Neroli pulls the other direction, bright and slightly bitter, like orange blossom stripped of its sweetness. Pink pepper bridges them with a dry sparkle that keeps the florals from collapsing into pure sugar. The base of sandalwood and tonka bean is where the composition earns its longevity, anchoring what could be a fleeting white floral into something that actually lasts through a working day.
The evolution
The first twenty minutes belong to neroli and orange blossom, citrus-floral and deceptively clean, almost cologne-adjacent. Then the tuberose wakes up, and the composition shifts into something denser. Jasmine joins it, and the white floral heart takes over fully, creamy and slightly indolic, the kind of scent that feels like it has a pulse. Pink pepper threads through the entire middle phase, adding a dry warmth that keeps the sweetness honest. By the three-hour mark, the florals have receded enough for sandalwood and tonka bean to surface. The drydown is where Icon Jewel becomes most wearable: warm, woody, faintly sweet, with just enough of that amber base to feel like skin rather than perfume. On fabric the next morning, the sandalwood is still there, quiet and close.
Cultural impact
Icon Jewel earns attention for a simple reason: it commits to tuberose and executes the idea with conviction. The white floral sits dense and creamy at the heart, layered with jasmine and given real structure by amber and a discreet dusting of spice. That indolic richness, the slightly waxy, almost lactonic quality that good tuberose carries, comes through clearly from the first spray and persists well into the drydown. The amber base does its work quietly, warming the composition without flattening it, while the spice keeps the whole thing lifted and alive.
