    Azha Perfumes

Azha Perfumes bridges the scent heritage of the Gulf with a contemporary sensibility for the modern collector. Based in the United Arab Emirates, the house offers a curated line of extrait de parfum that draws on traditional oud, amber and spice while interpreting them through crisp, layered compositions. Recent releases such as Sands Of Time (2025) and Velvet Whispers (2025) illustrate a commitment to depth and longevity, positioning the brand as a quiet force among niche perfumers who value narrative over flash.

    Heritage

A house, in its own words

The story of Azha begins in the narrow lanes of Deira on March 10, 1979, when a modest perfume shop opened its doors to a neighborhood of traders and travelers. The shop, run by the family of Omeir Kalsekar, served as a conduit for rare Middle Eastern essences that were otherwise hard to find in the city. Decades later, Omeir, inspired by his grandfather’s dedication to scent, launched Azha Perfumes as a distinct brand in 2022. The inaugural collection featured Oud Celestial, a tribute to the night sky over the desert, and quickly attracted attention from collectors seeking authenticity. By 2023 the brand secured retail space in major Gulf malls, including showrooms in the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, allowing a broader audience to experience the fragrances in person. 2024 marked the introduction of the Blue Saffron line, a bright, aromatic contrast to the house’s deeper offerings, and the same year the brand began collaborating with independent perfumers for limited‑edition releases. In 2025 Azha expanded its extrait de parfum portfolio with Sands Of Time, Bariq, and Velvet Whispers, each presented in hand‑blown glass bottles that echo the brand’s minimalist aesthetic. Throughout its brief but eventful history, Azha has maintained a focus on quality sourcing, transparent production, and a narrative that honors the familial roots of its founder while looking forward to new olfactory territories. Azha approaches perfumery as a dialogue between memory and invention. The brand believes that a fragrance should act as a portable story, capable of evoking a specific place or moment without relying on overt marketing slogans. Sustainability and ethical sourcing sit at the core of its values; raw materials such as agarwood, saffron and frankincense are procured from certified farms that practice responsible harvesting. Rather than chasing trends, Azha lets each ingredient dictate the structure of a scent, allowing natural accords to unfold over time. The house also embraces a modest visual language, preferring clean lines and muted tones that let the perfume speak for itself. This philosophy translates into a product range that balances richness with restraint, inviting wearers to explore layers that reveal themselves gradually, much like a well‑written novel.
