A house, in its own words
Maison de l’Avenir began in 2024 under founder Sunit Sheth. Although the house is young, Sheth has reportedly connected the company to several generations involved in fragrance and oud trading. In an interview, he described himself as a third-generation perfumer and said that his grandfather traded oud in Dubai. That family connection supplies a personal context for a label whose market identity is rooted in the UAE. The story does not follow the chronology of a centuries-old European perfume house. Instead, it presents a recent business built around a contemporary Dubai setting and an inherited familiarity with regional aromatic materials. Some retail and search listings describe Maison de l’Avenir as European or French, but these claims conflict with the brand’s own statement that it was made in the UAE and with repeated references to Dubai as its birthplace. The safest account is therefore a UAE fragrance house founded in 2024 by Sunit Sheth. Its early collection moves rapidly across established perfume categories, from aromatic fougère and oud to floral sweetness and darker woods. Retail activity appears across several international markets, though the available material does not establish a traditional house history or a long sequence of milestones. Maison de l’Avenir describes its fragrances as “crafted with AI,” placing computational tools within an otherwise familiar fine-fragrance framework. The phrase does not offer enough technical evidence to determine how the technology functions, whether it assists formulation, concept development, evaluation, or another stage. It does, however, clearly position the house as interested in the relationship between human perfumery and emerging digital methods. Public descriptions frame the collection as a meeting of Eastern and Western fragrance references, a theme that fits the Dubai setting without requiring every composition to be interpreted as a literal blend of two geographic traditions. The names give this idea a theatrical edge. Avenir Triumph, Opulent Odyssey, and Aurora Opulence suggest grandeur and movement, while Vortex Echo and Electra Elixir introduce a more experimental vocabulary. The brand is also careful to preserve familiar category signals, including oud, noir, intense, floral, woody, and aromatic directions. Rather than presenting AI as a replacement for traditional olfactory knowledge, the house uses it as part of a modern identity. The result is a brand built for discovery, drawing together Dubai’s oud culture, international niche-perfume tastes, and a forward-looking creative voice.
