The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Christmas Eve was born in 2017 as a limited-edition tribute to the night before the holidays. Perfumer Hany Hafez wanted to bottle the electric feeling of stepping into a winter wonderland, where sparkling champagne fizz meets the sweet tang of ripe passionfruit. The name evokes the hush of midnight
Hafez built Christmas Eve around a tension between effervescence and earthiness. The champagne-passion fruit opening channels festive disbelief; rosemary and vetiver keep the scent honest and tactile rather than purely celebratory. Nutmeg in the base ensures that warmth outlasts the bubbles, while rose lends unexpected grace and musk holds everything close to the skin.
The evolution
From the first spray, champagne bubbles ascend with bright, fizzy energy while passion fruit spills its tropical sweetness across the skin. Lemon arrives as a crisp counterpoint, preventing sweetness from cloying. These fruity top notes soften within minutes as rosemary emerges with herbal precision and vetiver grounds the composition in earthy warmth. The evolution continues as nutmeg warms the surface, rose adds quiet floral elegance, and musk settles into the skin like a whispered promise of warmth lingering until midnight.
Cultural impact
Since its 2017 debut, Christmas Eve has become a cult favorite among holiday‑season collectors, praised for turning a traditional festive scent into a unisex experience. Wearers often cite its ability to stand out at parties without overwhelming, making it a go‑to for Intimate gatherings and office celebrations alike. Its limited‑edition status adds a sense of rarity that fuels online discussion and repeat purchases each December.
