Antonio Gardoni
Antonio Gardoni builds things. He has always built things, first as an architect in his native Brescia, then, about a decade ago, as a perfumer working alongside the legendary Angelo Bogue Profumo. Gardoni came late to perfumery—he admits he never considered himself a perfume person—and spent years working in Bogue's laboratory before his name gained traction. The architect's training shows in his work: precise structure, unexpected geometries of scent, a fondness for construction over decoration. He gained widespread attention for Maai, the Bogue chypre that became a cult favorite for its bold, mossy sweep. His collaboration with Zoologist Perfumes on T-Rex brought him to a wider international audience. Gardoni still lives and works in Italy, where he continues to develop fragrances for Bogue while pursuing his own projects with methodical patience.
