    Aistis Mickevičius

Aistis Mickevičius grew up amid the cobblestones of Vilnius, where theater lights and radio waves shaped his early imagination. After a decade on stage as an actor and behind the microphone as a DJ, he turned to scent as another medium for storytelling. In the mid 2010s he enrolled in a formal perfumery program, mastering the chemistry of raw materials while keeping his artistic instincts sharp. The knowledge he gained allowed him to launch the independent house FUMparFUM, Lithuania’s first home‑grown perfume brand. His debut fragrance, Fall Mirror, announced a new voice in the region and earned praise for its daring structure. Since then he has continued to blend performance and perfume, treating each bottle as a compact stage.

    The signature

    How Aistis composes

His technique blends classic French structure with Baltic raw materials. He often begins with a mineral or forest‑derived base, then layers bright citrus or aromatic herbs to create contrast. He favors ambergris, birch tar, and wild rose, using them to anchor compositions that evolve over time. Mickevičius works hands‑on in the studio, testing blends on blotter before committing to a full batch. He avoids heavy synthetic clouds, opting instead for clear, linear progressions that reveal new facets as the scent settles.

    Philosophy

    What drives Aistis

Mickevičius treats fragrance like a script, each note a line that must deliver emotion on cue. He believes scent should provoke the same curiosity a theater audience feels before the curtain rises. Rather than chasing trends, he follows the instinct that led him from acting to mixing accords, letting memory and mood dictate composition. He values transparency of ingredients, preferring natural extracts that retain their original character. For him, perfume is a dialogue between creator and wearer, a moment where personal history becomes audible.
