The Beginning
Jovoy Paris was founded in 2013 by Patricia de Nicolaï, a descendant of the Guerlain family, who broke tradition to establish her own house in Paris rather than join the family business. Jovoy specializes in rare and expressive fragrances that favor character over convention. Remember Me was created by in-house perfumer Cécile Zarokian, who has been shaping the Jovoy identity since the beginning.
The brief for Remember Me was simple on paper: comfort. But not the comfort of sweet nothing, something with more depth. The key decision was pairing a dominant tea note with lactonic milk and vanilla. That combination is unusual. Tea fragrances exist. Milk fragrances exist. But the two together, anchored by cardamom and cedar, creates something that reads as both aromatic and edible without ever tipping fully into gourmand territory. Zarokian's choice to use frangipani in the heart rather than conventional white florals keeps it from going too creamy too fast. It breathes.
The Evolution
The opening arrives bright and clean, bergamot and lemon softened immediately by cardamom. Two hours in, the tea note dominates, and if you've ever wondered what a wearable chai smells like, this is the answer. The drydown is where most people fall in love. A lactonic vanilla with woody undertones that becomes almost skin-close. Projection drops after the first hour, but longevity holds strong for eight to ten hours. On fabric, it lasts until the next day.
Cultural Impact
Remember Me found its audience during a period when warm, spiced, and lactonic fragrances dominated the market. It stood out by combining tea with milk,a pairing borrowed from the chai latte cultural phenomenon, rather than relying on the oud or amber route that many niche houses took. It became a bridge fragrance: appealing to mainstream fragrance lovers entering the niche world, while satisfying niche collectors who wanted something wearable and comforting rather than challenging.

The Creator
Cécile ZarokianJovoy Paris was founded in 2013 by Patricia de Nicolaï, a descendant of the Guerlain family who chose the independent path over the family perfume house. Her perfumes are known for being expressive, rare, and slightly theatrical, fragrances with a point of view rather than consensus-building compositions.

Warmth in audio form. The opening is all bright citrus and spice, like finger cymbals and warm synths. The heart brings a meditative tea-ginger complexity, before settling into soft vanilla and cedar. Listen for the moment it becomes skin-close and stays.
