The Story
Why it exists.
Eram takes its name from Bagh‑E Eram, the legendary Persian garden celebrated as a slice of heaven. Jamie Frater wanted to bottle that cultivated paradise, translating the garden’s towering cypress, fragrant blooms and sun‑kissed stone into scent. Launched in 2022, the perfume opens with wild Iranian galbanum, freshly pressed citrus peels and a whisper of French narcissus, setting the stage for a heart of Persian rose and modern lily‑of‑the‑valley.

The Beginning
Eram takes its name from Bagh‑E Eram, the legendary Persian garden celebrated as a slice of heaven. Jamie Frater wanted to bottle that cultivated paradise, translating the garden’s towering cypress, fragrant blooms and sun‑kissed stone into scent. Launched in 2022, the perfume opens with wild Iranian galbanum, freshly pressed citrus peels and a whisper of French narcissus, setting the stage for a heart of Persian rose and modern lily‑of‑the‑valley.
What makes Eram stand out is the daring use of galbanum, a green, resinous note that cuts through the citrus like a forest wind, and the revival of Mousse de Saxe, a century‑old sandalwood‑rich base that adds a leathery, slightly powdery depth. Beneath the floral heart, costus and civet linger, giving the drydown an animalic edge that feels more like a hidden alcove than a polished parlor.
The Evolution
The first ten minutes are a bright, almost medicinal rush: galbanum’s green sting intertwines with bergamot’s sparkle and lemon’s zing, while a faint narcissus whisper softens the edge. As the citrus fades, the heart blooms, hyacinth’s green freshness gives way to lily‑of‑the‑valley’s watery sparkle, jasmine’s silk, and a peppery clove that adds warmth, all framed by a generous pour of Persian rose that feels like a velvet curtain. Midway, the composition settles into a rich, earthy core where oakmoss and sandalwood lay a forest floor, while the rare Mousse de Saxe clings like an old‑world lacquer, keeping the scent anchored. Costus and a whisper of civet emerge in the background, lending an animalic, almost tactile quality that refuses to disappear. By the hour‑mark, the musk softens the edges, leaving a lingering, green‑woody trail that stays close to the skin for the remainder of the day, a reminder of the garden’s hidden corners long after the sun has set.
Cultural Impact
Since its 2022 release, Eram has attracted a niche of fragrance enthusiasts who appreciate green‑aromatic compositions with a historic twist. Wearers often note the surprising animalic depth, likening it to a secret garden hidden behind a polished façade, and it’s frequently mentioned alongside classic green perfumes for its modern, yet reverent, take on the genre.
