Chris Maurice was tasked by Azman to capture the feeling of walking through sun-drenched lemon groves, then stumbling upon a hidden patch of earth-rich soil. The brief called for iconic citric scents blended with an unexpected smoky heart, echoing the brand’s love for places that shift from bright daylight to quiet, grounded moments.

Combining raspberry and passion fruit with bergamot and lemon creates a vivid, almost tactile brightness that recalls Mediterranean orchards. The addition of orange blossom adds a floral lift, while the heart’s marigold, jasmine, and damp soil introduce an earthy contrast. Smoke and clove lend a subtle spice, and the base of Laotian oud, moss, and sandalwood anchors the composition, making the citrus feel grounded rather than fleeting.
