Carpentieri Profumi, the family‑run house from Calabria founded in 1967, set out to bottle the region’s pure, sun‑kissed blossoms. Gelsomino emerged from that mission, inspired by the delicate jasmine that drapes the hillsides after a warm afternoon. The perfumers blended native jasmine with a splash of peach blossom and the exotic Ylang‑Ylang, then layered a heart of orange blossom, clove, carrot seed and creamy coconut to echo the Mediterranean garden’s depth.

The juxtaposition of carrot seed and clove adds an unexpected green‑spicy edge that lifts the floral heart, while coconut softens the composition, giving it a creamy, sun‑warmed texture. Base notes of benzoin, sandalwood, tolu balsam, oakmoss, patchouli and guaiac wood anchor the bouquet, creating a lingering amber‑woody trail that mirrors the stone‑kissed paths of the Calabrian interior.

At first spray, jasmine bursts forward, bright and slightly powdery, instantly joined by the honeyed whisper of peach blossom and the exotic richness of Ylang‑Ylang. Within ten minutes the orange blossom lifts the heart, while clove injects a warm spice and carrot seed contributes an earthy green nuance; coconut swirls in, adding a soft, milky veil. As the top fades, the amber‑sweet resin of benzoin and the creamy depth of sandalwood emerge, supported by the earthy grip of oakmoss and patchouli.
