Aegean Salt & Citrus

Sea salt is a risky material in fragrance. Too much and you smell like a first-aid kit, too little and you might as well use any fresh aquatic. The formulation threads a careful line. The salt here supports the grapefruit and lemon, adding body that prevents the whole composition from collapsing into cleaning product territory. The lemon heart brings a tart, slightly green quality that is present without dominating. On dry skin especially, this is where the fragrance shows its focus on balance and restraint.

The evolution

First twenty minutes: grapefruit hits clean and bright. No sweetness, no florals hiding behind it, just the fruit. Then lemon arrives, softening the edges. The salt doesn't announce itself so much as it settles in around the citrus, adding a barely-there brine that keeps everything grounded. As the fragrance develops, the grapefruit fades and lemon takes over, still tart but warmer in character. The salt remains present throughout, quieter but continuing to shape the overall impression. By the later stages, the citrus softens further while the salt note persists as one of the final elements. This sustained quality differentiates the composition. The sillage is moderate, you'll notice it on yourself, and those close to you may catch wafts throughout the wear.
