The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Prin Lomros designed Nekro Dellamorte as an olfactory translation of films that deal with mortality and the macabre. References to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the West Berlin necrophilia love story Nekromantik, and the cemetery caretaker narrative of Dellamorte Dellamore all converge in a single wearable composition. The fragrance opens with green, cutting hyacinth that immediately signals this isn't a conventional floral composition. As it develops, animalic and earthy notes emerge alongside jasmine absolute, creating something that resists easy categorization. The white florals provide moments of recognizable beauty, but they're held within a structure of leather and unconventional notes that give the composition its particular weight.
The white florals, hyacinth, jasmine absolute, provide the only recognizable beauty in the structure. Everything else resists comfort. Leather functions as architecture, not decoration. The animalic accord doesn't whisper; it structures the entire composition around the question of what beauty becomes when you stop filtering it. The mold and mushroom notes emerge from beneath the florals, creating an earthy undercurrent that grounds the composition. These notes don't exist to shock.
The evolution
The opening arrives green and sharp. Hyacinth first, cutting through whatever air you were standing in. Then the jasmine and lipstick arrive, glamorous and slightly unsettling. As the fragrance develops, the animalic deepens. You catch the urine note if you're paying attention. The mold follows. The leather eventually becomes dominant, and the florals fade into the background. The drydown extends significantly. Something mineral and cold remains, like an empty room where someone was standing for a long time.
Cultural impact
This fragrance attracts a specific kind of wearer, someone who seeks fragrances that operate at the edge of acceptability. Enthusiasts of extreme avant-garde work appreciate its refusal to apologize, while others find it genuinely difficult to wear. What it does is occupy its own territory. If you're the wearer who needs a fragrance with something to say, even if what it says is uncomfortable, this one won't leave the room quietly.
