The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Dua Brand launched Floral Explosion of Tiger Lilies in 2025 as part of its Dua Designer Line. This release nods directly to Flowerbomb Tiger Lily by Viktor & Rolf, translating that floral-fruity bombast into a creamier, more lactonic register. The perfume is vegan per the manufacturer, and it brings together a tight cast of notes built to recreate the experience of the original reference through a different set of ingredients. Coconut milk and mango bring tropical sweetness, benzoin supplies warmth, and tiger lily itself does the floral heavy lifting in a composition that privileges the creamy and the gourmand over the green and indolic. The result is a designer-line entry that leans confidently into the floral-fruity family without aping the original note for note.
Coconut milk and mango do the heavy lifting in this composition, lending a tropical sweetness that grounds the whole structure. Benzoin anchors the blend with its warm, resinous vanillic undertone, preventing the fruit from floating off into something juvenile and giving the composition a long, sweet tail that keeps pulling you back. The tiger lily sits inside that creamy shell, petal-soft but never delicate, lending its floral character without dominating the tropical fruit pair.
The evolution
Mango leads the way in the opening, bright and fruity with a syrupy weight that announces itself immediately on skin. Within moments, coconut milk begins to soften that sweetness, turning the fruit into something creamier, almost like a tropical drink poured over ice. As the fruit cools, benzoin rises from underneath, adding a resinous warmth that deepens the composition's profile. The tiger lily threads through every phase, petal-soft but never delicate, lending a quiet floral hum that keeps the fruit and cream from going purely gourmand. In the later stages, the mango recedes and the coconut milk and benzoin trade the lead, creating a warm, resinous, slightly vanillic skin scent with just a whisper of fruit still clinging to the edges. The drydown settles into a milky, amber-leaning softness that wraps close to the skin, with the tiger lily still detectable as a soft floral undertone.
Cultural impact
Floral Explosion of Tiger Lilies offers a creamier, more tropical take on the floral-fruity family, leaning on coconut milk and mango to create a composition that sits closer to gourmand territory than a traditional floral. That coconut-milk twist gives the fragrance a distinct personality, one that pulls the tropical fruit forward and lets the benzoin supply the warmth that keeps the whole composition grounded. The vegan formulation adds a quiet but real draw for wearers who pay attention to what goes into their bottle.
