Heritage
A house, in its own words
Tesori d'Oriente was established in 1998 with a stated mission of conveying escapism, inspiration, and suggestion through fragrance. The name itself translates to Treasures of the East, reflecting the brand's geographic and cultural focus. Operating as part of the Sodalis Group, the company emerged from Italy's tradition of affordable yet distinctive perfumery. Over its first decade, the brand developed a catalog of scents referencing specific destinations, including the Marrakech series (Ibisco E Pepe Rosa in 2010, Ambra e Zafferano in 2011) and regional ingredients like Madagascar vanilla and ginger. The brand expanded into themed collections inspired by wellness traditions, with products referencing Japanese rituals, thalasso therapy, and hammam experiences. By the 2010s, Tesori d'Oriente had established itself within the mass-market fragrance segment in Italy and European markets, later expanding distribution to include the United States. The brand continued releasing new fragrances into the 2020s, with 2025 additions including Ikigai and Legno di Ebano e Ginseng. Rather than positioning itself as a niche or luxury house, the brand occupies a space between accessible body care and true perfumery, making destination-inspired scents available at moderate price points. The brand operates on the principle of olfactory escapism, creating fragrances that transport wearers to specific places and cultural experiences. Tesori d'Oriente draws from what it describes as ancient traditions and spiritual wisdom, particularly from Eastern cultures. The philosophy centers on the ritual of fragrance as part of personal care, extending beyond mere scent into a broader sensory experience. Their product range, which includes body mists, bath products, and home care alongside perfumes, reflects an integrated approach to fragrance use. The brand believes fragrance should be approachable and part of daily routines rather than reserved for special occasions. Each scent tells a story of its named destination or inspiration, whether that is a Moroccan market, a Japanese tea ceremony, or an Egyptian temple. This narrative approach distinguishes their offerings from generic florals or single-note compositions. The brand reportedly aims to bridge cultural heritage with contemporary fragrance tastes, selecting ingredients and combinations that evoke authentic regional associations.
