The brand appeared at Niche Show London, introducing itself to a wider audience of niche fragrance seekers. The name carries an immediate duality: piety and sin held in the same breath, suggesting a wearer who doesn't choose between reverence and rebellion but holds both at once. The composition was created by Xavier Blaizot, whose work draws on materials of considerable weight and presence. His sensibility leans toward substances that announce themselves: woods with grain, resins with body, absolutes with depth.
What makes Devoti Peccatori architecturally interesting is how few actual openings it offers. The listed composition centers on Mysore sandalwood, ambergris, bourbon vanilla absolute, tonka bean, and osmanthus absolute as anchoring materials, with cocoa, cypriol, galbanum, oak wood, and orange lending directional pulls.
