The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Cirrostratus emerged in 2022 from the mind of Aldo Parise, tasked with translating Les Vides Anges' urban graffiti ethos into a scent that feels like a cool autumn breeze drifting through an empty alley. The perfumer chose a micro-distilled Madagascar ginger to capture the crisp, slightly citrus-tin character that mirrors the sharp lines of street art. This opening sets the tone for a fragrance that exists between the concrete and the sky.
The note philosophy here is about contrast: the sharp opening against the soft heart, the urban against the natural. Ginger represents the city's edge while lily-of-the-valley and orchid bring fleeting beauty. Musk and sandalwood ground the experience, suggesting that even in an urban landscape, there is warmth and softness to be found.
The evolution
The opening begins with ginger's sharp clarity, cutting through like morning light on urban surfaces. French lily-of-the-valley and wild orchid then emerge, softening the edges and introducing an organic, almost mist-like quality that reflects the cirrostratus cloud formations. The drydown brings musk and sandalwood, creating a grounding warmth that lingers like the memory of a city after rain.
Cultural impact
Since its 2022 debut, Cirrostratus has resonated with a generation seeking minimalist yet expressive scents that echo urban sophistication. The ginger note, traditionally associated with vitality in Asian cultures, was reinterpreted here as a crisp, modern spark that aligns with contemporary streetwear aesthetics. By pairing this spice with delicate orchid and lily of the valley, the fragrance bridges the gap between Eastern herbal heritage and Western floral elegance, reflecting the globalized identity of today’s creative professionals. Its sustainable, vegan formulation also taps into the growing eco‑conscious movement, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to responsible luxury.
