The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
London Twilight appeared in 2022 alongside Aurora, Shanghai Shades, Mykonos Sunset, and Portofino Sunrise. London Twilight draws its coordinates from the city after sundown, a place and a moment the brand clearly considers worth bottling. The composition reads as a rich layering built on a foundation of leather, incense, agarwood, rose, raspberry, black pepper, vanilla, patchouli, musk, saffron, and fur. The leather note gives the scent its grounding, a worn-in warmth that sits beneath everything else like a second skin. Agarwood and incense rise through the middle, smoky and contemplative, lending the composition a meditative gravity without ever tipping into heaviness.
What makes the composition unusual isn't any single ingredient but the combination. Raspberry sitting next to oud is not a traditional pairing. Most oud-driven fragrances reach for rose, saffron, or incense, and most raspberry notes land in sweet gourmands. Putting them together forces a different kind of reading: the fruit turns darker, almost winelike, and the oud loses some of its gravity. Fur adds something stranger still, that warm, slightly animal texture that makes leather smell like it's actually being worn rather than displayed. The pepper and patchouli underneath keep everything from drifting into dessert territory. It's a construction that depends on friction to work.
The evolution
The opening belongs to raspberry and pepper, a bright, almost startling entry given how dense the composition becomes once it settles. The fruit carries a tart, almost wine-like quality, sharpened by black pepper's dry bite, and for a moment the scent feels lighter than its eventual destination suggests. Then the leather arrives, and the fruit has somewhere to go, folding into the suede-like warmth with surprising ease. The middle stretches out as incense, rose, and saffron take hold, smoky and warm without ever crossing into heavy territory. Agarwood settles underneath as suggestion rather than declaration, a shadow rather than a wall. As the hours pass, fur and vanilla do their quiet work, softening everything that came before.
Cultural impact
London Twilight draws its share of attention from fragrance communities, particularly among collectors drawn to dense, leather-oud compositions with a bit of sweetness. The raspberry note in particular tends to spark conversation, since fruit pairings with agarwood remain less common than the more expected rose or saffron combinations. Among the small pool of reviewers who have rated it, winter and fall receive the most votes, suggesting the composition's warmth and weight read best in cooler weather. The scent's profile leans toward evening and night wear, though it isn't exclusively a after-dark fragrance.
