Apples Crave Apples arrived in 2015, a release from Arcana Craves, a sub-label operating under the small-batch indie house Arcana Wildcraft. The parent workshop had spent years producing limited fragrances for a niche audience, building a catalog known for unconventional note combinations and a willingness to push familiar materials past their expected roles. Apples Crave Apples sits firmly inside that sensibility, stripping away the usual pastry, dessert, and gourmand scaffolding and asking what happens when apple is allowed to occupy the entire composition. No vanilla smooths the edges. No cake batter sweetens the base. No orchard atmospherics try to sell the illusion of a fall afternoon.
What makes this composition worth slowing down for is the range of apple characters packed into one bottle. The official note list includes red apple, green apple, roasted apple, frosted apple, and applejack, each rendered as its own material with its own apparent temperature and weight.
