The Story
Why it exists.
Inspired by the shimmering northern lights, Olfactive Studio asked photographer to capture that fleeting brilliance in scent. Sidonie Lancesseur, working with Robertet, translated the icy glow into a fragrance that opened with mint and Siberian pine, then blossomed into bright white flowers before settling into warm sandalwood. Launched in 2022, Dancing Light continues the house’s tradition of turning a single image into an aromatic narrative that mirrors light, texture and mood.

The Beginning
Inspired by the shimmering northern lights, Olfactive Studio asked photographer to capture that fleeting brilliance in scent. Sidonie Lancesseur, working with Robertet, translated the icy glow into a fragrance that opened with mint and Siberian pine, then blossomed into bright white flowers before settling into warm sandalwood. Launched in 2022, Dancing Light continues the house’s tradition of turning a single image into an aromatic narrative that mirrors light, texture and mood.
The choice of Siberian pine, sourced from the taiga, gives the opening a genuine forest chill that contrasts sharply with the sweet fig nectar and tropical pineapple. Mint adds a crisp, almost metallic edge, while bergamot and cardamom provide a citrus‑spice balance. This deliberate clash of cool and warm notes mirrors the aurora’s dance of color, making the fragrance a study in contrast that feels both invigorating and comforting.
The Evolution
The first fifteen minutes feel like stepping into a frosty forest after snowfall, mint sharp, pine needle green, fig nectar sweet, bergamot bright, cardamom aromatic, pink pepper tingling, pineapple sunny. Around the half‑hour mark the heart emerges: a luminous white garden where Egyptian jasmine radiates honeyed depth, Moroccan neroli adds citrus sparkle, syringa offers airy green tones, freesia brings soft powder, and Provençal lavender grounds the bouquet with a clean herbaceous sigh. As the scent settles into the drydown, the warm woods take over; Indian sandalwood spreads creamy amber, Virginia cedar adds dry resinous strength, oakmoss drifts earthy, and musk cushions the blend, leaving a lingering, comforting glow that fades gently after a full workday.
Cultural Impact
Wearers often describe Dancing Light as the olfactory equivalent of watching the aurora borealis, bright, fleeting, then soothing. The fragrance has become a favorite for those who gravitate toward crisp, green‑floral scents that feel both modern and artistic. It frequently appears in winter‑time recommendations and is praised in niche‑community forums for its balanced contrast between icy freshness and warm sandalwood, positioning it as a go‑to for creative professionals seeking a subtle statement.
