The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Good Ghoul was born from Victoria's Secret PINK's Halloween collection, a line built for all you bad witches and good ghouls out there. The name alone tells you everything: this isn't a fragrance that takes itself seriously. It's playful, a little mischievous, and entirely unapologetic about what it is. The 2025 launch brought sugared strawberries and pink poppies into a composition designed for the spookiest season of the year, finished with that signature candy fairy dust that makes the whole thing feel like stepping into a Halloween candy bag.
What makes Good Ghoul interesting is the Dust, a material that doesn't get used often enough in mainstream fragrance. Here, it acts as a finisher, a way to ground all that sweetness into something that feels less like eating candy and more like wearing it. The pink poppy gives it a floral softness that keeps the gourmand from getting too heavy, while the sugared strawberry keeps everything bright and accessible. It's a careful balance: sweet enough to feel seasonal, light enough to wear without shouting about it.
The evolution
The opening hits like unwrapping a strawberry hard candy, immediate sweetness, bright and happy. Within minutes, the pink poppy softens the edges, adding a powdery floral layer that feels less like candy and more like the inside of a makeup compact. The drydown is where Good Ghoul earns its name. The Dust settles in, turning the sweetness into something more delicate, that candy fairy dust quality that lingers close to the skin for hours. On fabric, it lasts longer, almost annoyingly persistent in the best way. By the next morning, there's a faint sweetness left on clothes that makes you want to wear it again.
Cultural impact
Good Ghoul taps into something specific: the desire to smell like the season without committing to full costume. Every October, people want seasonal fragrances, pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, but most go heavy and seasonal in ways that feel temporary. Good Ghoul offers something lighter, sweeter, and more playful. It's not trying to bewitch anyone. It's just here for a good time, which is exactly what Halloween should be.
