A house, in its own words
Mancera's story begins in 2008, a creation born from a unique father-daughter collaboration. Pierre Montale, already a celebrated perfumer known for his deep dive into Middle Eastern ingredients with his eponymous brand, Montale, decided to embark on a new project. He brought his extensive knowledge of intense, precious raw materials from his travels in the Arabian Gulf. This time, however, the vision was a fusion, a bridge between cultures. He was joined by his daughter, Amélie, a photographer and visual artist with a passion for Art Deco. While Pierre brought the olfactory expertise and a love for potent, exotic notes, Amélie brought a fresh, modern aesthetic. She became the artistic director, shaping the brand's clean lines, geometric patterns, and overall visual identity. This partnership defined Mancera from the start, creating a house that felt both timeless and contemporary. The brand truly cemented its status in 2017 with the opening of its first luxurious boutique on Paris's prestigious Place Vendôme, placing it firmly among the world's finest perfume houses.
At its heart, Mancera's philosophy is one of generosity and intensity. They don't create shy, fleeting scents; they compose rich, diffusive fragrances designed to be noticed and remembered. The brand's creative drive comes from a desire to unite two worlds: the deep, resinous, and spicy character of Eastern perfumery with the bright, floral, and citrusy structures of the West. It’s about taking the best of both traditions to create something new and compelling. This approach results in perfumes that are luxurious but not unapproachable. They believe in the power of a signature scent and create fragrances that have a strong presence and exceptional longevity. It's a perfumery of abundance, using high concentrations and quality materials to ensure every spray delivers a full, captivating experience.
