Edition II takes that original concept and presses a little harder on the base. Where the first Blanc Poudre kept its vanilla in check, the re-enforced vanilla candy in this version makes itself known, a dry, slightly sweet warmth that arrives after the initial softness and stays. It's a deliberate choice: the porcelain is still there, still cool and clean at the opening, but the Edition pushes into territory that feels more worn, more inhabited. Like a teacup that's been used and loved rather than kept behind glass.
The evolution
The opening is immediate: rice powder and cotton flower arrive together, a clean and almost starchy softness. Within the first hour the florals emerge, not a specific flower, more a general warmth that reads as blossom without naming it.
