The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Chill & Sole arrived in 2024 as part of Bvlgari's Allegra collection, created by Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud and Camille Cavallier. The name itself tells you everything, this is the scent of checking out. Not in a disengaged way, but in the way your nervous system finally exhales when you reach the coast and the rest of the world starts to feel optional. Bvlgari built its identity on bold Italian glamour, and Allegra is where that translates into something warmer and more personal.
What makes this composition work is the restraint within the familiar pyramid. Citrus and white florals are among the most explored territories in perfumery, and it's easy for a scent in this category to become generic. The addition of petitgrain is the quiet differentiator here. Its bitter-green character keeps the lemon honest, prevents the florals from floating into abstraction. Neroli does what it always does: provides that clean, slightly soapy warmth that reads as both fresh and intimate.
The evolution
The opening is pure citrus clarity, Italian lemon at its brightest, sharpened by petitgrain's green edge. There's no delay, no waiting period. It arrives fully formed, the way a Mediterranean morning does in summer. Within the first thirty minutes, the florals begin their quiet takeover. Neroli emerges first, then orange blossom, softening the lemon's initial bite into something creamier and more personal. The citrus never fully disappears, it lingers at the edges, a reminder of where the fragrance started. By the third hour, you're left with a soft, powdery white floral trail that sits close to the skin. Moderate sillage means it accompanies rather than announces. The drydown is clean, gentle, and lasts well into the afternoon on most skin types.
Cultural impact
Part of Bvlgari's Allegra collection, Chill & Sole targets the wearer who wants brightness without complexity. It sits comfortably in the space between casual citrus waters and formal white florals, versatile enough for daily wear, polished enough for occasions. The fragrance's optimism and Mediterranean framing reflect a broader shift toward effortless luxury in contemporary perfumery, where the goal is presence without performance.
