The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Triple Berry Martini arrived in 2021 as part of Bath & Body Works' rotating cocktail-inspired mist lineup, a collection built around translating happy hour into something you could spritz on after the shower. The brand's model works on momentum: trend-forward scents, private-label development, and a fast cycle from concept to shelf. This one went full into that ethos, a berry drink turned wearable, playful and immediate. Bath & Body Works built its reputation on fine fragrance mists that deliver atmosphere at an accessible price, and Triple Berry Martini fits squarely in that tradition: one quick idea (a berry martini) executed without overthinking.
The composition is a deliberate stacking of the same fruit family, not a layered pyramid in the traditional perfumery sense. Black raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate, and sugar repeat across both the top and heart, giving the mist a single, unbroken sweetness from first spray to final fade. That repetition is the trick. Rather than building complexity, it builds saturation. The fruity and sweet accords dominate, with a woody undertone and a whisper of fresh spice providing just enough structure to keep it from reading as pure candy. It's an approach that works especially well in mist format, where sheer concentration and skin warmth do the blending work.
The evolution
The opening hits with that cocktail-fizz energy: black raspberry and a boozy liquor accord, the pomegranate bright underneath, all of it sharpened by a hit of sugar. There's no warm-up period. It announces itself the way a good drink does, immediately. The first 30 to 60 minutes are the sweetest stretch, jammy and almost sticky with strawberry and pomegranate, the fruit notes so close together they blur into one lush, sticky-sweet impression. As the second hour rolls in, the sugar softens and the berries settle into something warmer, less sharp. The woody base and that hint of fresh spice start surfacing, giving the sweetness a backbone it didn't have at the start. By hour three or four, it's quieter, a sugary berry skin-scent that clings close rather than projects. On fabric, especially sweaters and scarves, it tends to linger a day or two, a faint reminder of something sweet left in a drawer.
Cultural impact
Triple Berry Martini sat within Bath & Body Works' cocktail-mist series, a run of gourmand and fruity fragrances that included crowd favorites like Champagne Toast. It carried the same celebratory, easy-to-wear energy, berry-forward where Champagne Toast was bubbly and golden. The fragrance was discontinued not long after its 2021 release, which only sharpened its appeal to collectors and fans who stocked up while they could. It occupies a specific niche: the cocktail-scent body mist that people associate with getting ready for a night out, layering over lotion, spritzed one more time before grabbing keys.
