The beginning
Dreams Glaze arrived in 2025 as part of the Adidas Vibes collection. Perfumer Valerie Garnuch-Mentzel worked with Coty's fragrance development team to build something that felt immediate and approachable. The result is a fragrance that opens like a confectionery counter and settles like something you've worn before, comfortable on skin that moves through the world rather than pausing for admiration. The composition focuses on accessibility, creating a scent that welcomes you in rather than demanding attention. There's an ease to how it develops, a lack of pretense that makes it approachable from the first spray. The sweetness doesn't overwhelm but instead wraps around you gently, like a familiar embrace.
What makes Dreams Glaze work is the balance between richness and restraint. The gourmand heart (hazelnut praline, cocoa, dark chocolate, vanilla) could easily tip into something cloying, but the citrus top notes clementine and bergamot arrive like a window opened in a warm kitchen, cutting through the sweetness before it can settle. The rose note is doing quiet work here, not announcing itself as a floral but softening the edges of the chocolate and nut accord, adding warmth without weight. Musk in the base isn't doing anything surprising, but it's doing it well, extending the wear without projecting aggressively. The evolution
The opening hits fast and sweet, hazelnut praline immediately at the forefront with a bright assist from clementine. Bergamot adds a brief flash of citrus that lifts the chocolate before it can feel heavy. Around the thirty-minute mark, the clementine fades and the heart takes over: cocoa deepens, vanilla emerges, the rose adds a subtle creaminess that rounds the edges. This is the phase that earns the name. By hour two, the praline has softened into something more diffuse, musk beginning its slow takeover. The drydown is intimate and close, a skin-warm sweetness that doesn't announce itself but refuses to leave. The chocolate lingers longest, even after the musk has settled into something close to skin scent.
