    Philippine Courtière

Philippine Courtière grew up in the elegant arrondissements of Paris, where evenings at the Maison Dior salons sparked her fascination with scent. She earned a Master’s in French and Spanish law at Nanterre, then practiced briefly before an internship at a boutique perfume shop redirected her ambition. Around 2015 she left the courtroom for the lab, enrolling in Symrise’s intensive perfumery program. After three years of apprenticeship she earned the title of senior perfumer at Symrise Fine Fragrance in Dubai, where she now guides the revival of historic houses such as Maison Lautier. Her first public success arrived with Kayali’s Lovefest Burning Cherry, a vibrant ode to ripe fruit and soft spice. Courtière balances legal precision with artistic intuition, a blend that defines her rise from courtroom briefs to fragrance briefs.

    The signature

    How Philippine composes

Courtière favors a crystalline top that sparks curiosity, followed by a heart built on fruit-laden florals and a base of warm woods or amber. She often layers Turkish rose with subtle hints of lychee, then anchors the blend with sandalwood or cedar from sustainable sources. Her technique includes precise temperature control during maceration, allowing volatile notes to settle without losing brightness. She prefers natural extracts when they offer depth, but she does not shy away from synthetics that add clarity or longevity. The result is a fragrance that feels both meticulously crafted and effortlessly wearable.

    Philosophy

    What drives Philippine

Courtière treats each composition as a dialogue between memory and material. She believes a scent must capture a moment’s feeling as clearly as a written argument captures a truth. Her legal background teaches her to dissect structure; she translates that discipline into layered accords that reveal themselves over time. She draws inspiration from literature, architecture, and the multicultural pulse of Dubai, letting those references guide the narrative she builds in glass. For her, perfume is a bridge that connects personal story to collective experience, and she pursues that connection with relentless curiosity.
