    Lorenzo Pazzaglia

Lorenzo Pazzaglia grew up surrounded by the scents of his father's kitchen on the Italian Adriatic coast in Fano, where authentic aromas from the family's restaurant enchanted him from a young age. He pursued cooking as his profession, working in the family business, but a parallel fascination with fragrance led him to experiment with essential oils as a hobby. He began creating scents for himself, his friends, and restaurant customers at Il Poggio in Cagli. Their reactions were immediate and revealing—there was something genuinely special in what he was making. In 2021, he formalized this passion by founding PAX s.r.l and launching his own fragrance label. The brand quickly caught the attention of both press and consumers, earning features in Vogue and Elle and several international awards. Summer Hammer took home the Best Fragrance Revelation prize at the Perfume Awards in Madrid, and the Scentxplore Awards in New York named him Rising Star Perfumer of 2024, with Sun-Gria awarded Fragrance of the Year.

    The signature

    How Lorenzo composes

Lorenzo works exclusively with high concentrations of essential oils, producing Extrait de Parfum formulations that prioritize intensity and longevity. His background in gastronomy shapes a signature boldness—fragrances like Carbonara and Van Py Rhum draw direct inspiration from Italian culinary icons, while Black Sea and Sex Sea explore oceanic themes through a salted, mineral lens. His aesthetic leans toward vivid, almost visceral impressions, favoring complexity and richness over restraint. Each creation reflects his conviction that fragrance should capture the very essence of a place, a flavor, or a memory.

    Philosophy

    What drives Lorenzo

Lorenzo approaches perfumery the way a chef approaches cooking—with a craftsman's respect for raw materials and a storyteller's desire to evoke memory. He believes beauty is born from virtue, passion, and dedication rather than wealth. His fragrances translate personal memories into olfactory experiences, turning moments from his childhood and his roots in Mediterranean cuisine into something shareable and wearable. Rather than following trends, he crafts scents for real people, straightforward and honest in their appeal.
