Leandro Petit
Leandro Petit grew up in São Paulo with a love for chemistry and mathematics. He earned a degree in chemical engineering before joining Givaudan’s fine‑fragrance lab in 2019. Early assignments placed him in Paris, where he absorbed the city’s scent culture while collaborating with senior noses on niche projects. By 2021 he earned the title of perfumer, a milestone marked by a private commission for his girlfriend—a fragrance he still calls the one that makes him smile. Since then he has shuttled between Brazil, France and Asia, translating diverse memories into scent sketches for private clients and experimental collections. His career balances rigorous lab work with spontaneous field trips, a rhythm that keeps his creations fresh and personal.

How Leandro composes
Leandro favors transparent structures that let a single note breathe. He often builds around lily of the valley, a flower that resists extraction, using synthetic analogues to evoke its green heart. Warm amber, soft musk and bright citrus appear frequently in his compositions, providing balance between light and depth. He layers ingredients in thin, overlapping veils, creating a scent that reveals new facets as it settles on skin. His technique emphasizes balance over drama, letting the wearer discover the perfume’s personality over time.
Philosophy
What drives Leandro
Leandro believes a perfume should capture a moment rather than a trend. He treats each brief as a conversation, listening for the emotional core before selecting a palette. Science grounds his process; he measures volatility and stability with the same care he gives to a lyrical phrase. Yet he also trusts instinct, allowing a single accord to evolve organically. This blend of analytical precision and intuitive play drives him to explore rare botanicals and unconventional synthetics, always aiming for a scent that feels both intimate and unforgettable.
