Azzi Glasser
Azzi Glasser grew up in North London before spending her childhood in India, a contrast that sharpened her sense of scent. In 1991 she walked into CPL Aromas as a trainee, quickly mastering raw material evaluation and formula construction. Within a decade she rose to Creative Director, guiding projects for luxury houses and celebrity clients. The breakthrough arrived in 1999 when she launched the first Agent Provocateur perfume, a bold, unapologetic blend that earned industry awards and placed her on the global radar. Since then she has founded her own houses, including INA Crystals in 2007, and built a reputation for crafting bespoke scents for artists such as Helena Bonham Carter. Over 25 years she has mentored emerging noses and spoken at fragrance conferences, always emphasizing the power of story and emotion in scent.

How Azzi composes
Azzi’s signature technique blends classic structure with unexpected twists. She builds a solid base of amber, musk or woods, then injects a flash of rare ingredient—such as Turkish rose, Madagascan vanilla or a pinch of smoked tea. Her formulas often feature a dual-heart where two contrasting aromatics coexist, creating tension that resolves on the skin. She prefers natural extracts when they deliver depth, but she does not shy away from synthetics that add precision. The result is a scent that feels handcrafted yet polished, inviting the wearer to explore its layers throughout the day.
Philosophy
What drives Azzi
Azzi believes that perfume should read like a personal diary, each note capturing a memory or feeling. She starts every brief by asking what moment the client wants to freeze, then translates that narrative into accords that feel both intimate and daring. She favors contrast—soft florals paired with sharp spices—to keep the composition alive. Sustainability guides her ingredient choices; she seeks responsibly sourced absolutes and supports small-batch farmers. For Azzi, the act of creating is a dialogue between skin, emotion, and culture, and she measures success by the smile a wearer shows when the scent first appears.
