    Anunsith Wongkornvanich

Anunsith Wongkornvanich entered the fragrance world after a decade in IT and oil. He earned a degree from Chulalongkorn University, then spent nine years at ExxonMobil mastering data and project management. In 2020 he swapped spreadsheets for scent labs, joining Rebellion Lab & Perfume Bar in Bangkok. There he applied his analytical rigor to raw materials, quickly earning the trust of boutique brands. His first public credit arrived with Velvétail Perfumes, a line that celebrates the bond between pets and their owners. The collection’s opening scent, built around crisp melon and soft musk, earned praise for its playful longevity. Today Anunsith balances corporate discipline with creative curiosity, guiding emerging houses and mentoring young noses across Southeast Asia.

    How Anunsith composes

Anunsith favors a modular approach. He builds a base of sturdy woods or amber, then adds bright top notes that catch attention. Melon, citrus, and green herbs appear frequently in his openings, offering instant freshness. He pairs them with heart accords of floral tea, soft suede, or light spice, creating depth without heaviness. His dry-down often rests on vetiver, cedar, or subtle animalic notes that linger subtly. He avoids over‑laden accords, preferring clarity and balance. In the lab he records every ratio, allowing rapid iteration and precise replication. This discipline lets him experiment with unconventional ingredients—such as sustainably harvested civet or rare fruit extracts—while keeping the final scent wearable.

    Philosophy

    What drives Anunsith

Anunsith treats each formula as a conversation between memory and moment. He starts with a single scent memory—a garden walk, a kitchen spice, a pet’s fur—and translates it into a concise brief. He believes a fragrance must earn its place on the skin, not merely fill the air. To achieve that, he layers ingredients in a logical sequence, testing stability before moving to the next accord. He respects the chemistry of skin, letting natural warmth reveal hidden facets. Sustainability guides his sourcing; he prefers ingredients that support local growers and minimize ecological impact. The result is a scent that feels both intimate and responsible.
