Pear blossom as a named top note is unusual. It's not a standard perfumery ingredient, more commonly rendered as a general 'pear' or 'green' note in compositions. Here it appears to function as a true blossom extract, giving the opening a specific floral cleanliness rather than just fruity freshness. That distinction matters: it sets up the ylang-ylang heart without fighting it. The ylang-ylang then doesn't arrive as a surprise, it arrives as an escalation. And Amber Xtreme as the base gives the drydown its powdery, close-to-skin character rather than a loud amber declaration.

The evolution

Pear blossom opens and you're in a bright, clean place. Two things happen at once: the freshness registers immediately, and underneath it the ylang-ylang is already waiting. Not hiding. Just patient. Within the first hour the ylang-ylang takes full command, thick, tropical, the kind of floral that has weight and a slight indolic edge. It doesn't project aggressively. It occupies. The amber arrives quietly, wrapping the ylang-ylang in something powdery and warm. The drydown is intimate by design. Moderate sillage means this is a fragrance for the space you share with someone, not the room you just left.
