Heritage
A house, in its own words
The story begins in Pavia, where Gianluca Gariboldi completed his degree in Pharmacy at the city's university. Rather than follow the conventional pharmaceutical path, he redirected his training in chemistry, raw material analysis, and sensory perception toward fragrance creation. Drawing on years of accumulated sensory experiences and cultural exposure, he began handcrafting scents that bridged scientific precision with artistic narrative. The earliest entries in his fragrance catalogue date to 2022, a concentrated debut year that produced Amar, Jardin de Pierre, Sensual Wood, Imperial Oud, Java Oud, Rêve Oriental, and Viridi Solis in quick succession. This rapid, thematically diverse launch set the tone for the house: a creator willing to explore oud, floral, green, and gourmand territory within a single creative arc. Subsequent years brought Jasmin Lunaire (2023), Anima d'Amalfi (2023), and Oraméda (revealed in 2025), each extending the brand's range while keeping the catalogue deliberately curated. The decision to present at Pitti Fragranze, the Pitti Immagine trade fair dedicated to selective fragrance distribution, confirmed the brand's positioning within Italy's independent perfumery scene. The house remains closely identified with its founder, with each composition credited to Gariboldi personally rather than to an external perfumer. Gariboldi's creative vision rests on a refusal to treat fragrance as a commercial commodity. Every composition is conceived as a narrative, built around a single idea or place that the wearer is invited to inhabit. Italian heritage informs the sensibility: a preference for warmth, contrast, and emotional directness over abstract minimalism. The house gravitates toward materials with cultural depth, oud, jasmine, cedar, sweet orange, and resinous woods, chosen for the stories they carry as much as for their olfactory impact. Rather than chasing trend cycles, the brand releases when a concept is fully resolved, which explains the clustered debut in 2022 followed by more measured additions in later years. The founder's pharmaceutical training shapes a clinical approach to formula construction, where ingredient behavior, skin interaction, and longevity are treated as variables to be engineered, not guessed at. Yet the house resists cold intellectualism. Descriptions from independent wearers consistently note warmth, sensuality, and a certain emotional pull, suggesting that Gariboldi sees perfumery as a bridge between the analytical and the felt.
