A house, in its own words
BODÉ STUDIOS was born in Switzerland in February 2021, but its roots stretch back to a conversation between two friends during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020. Lino Bottani and Nicola Deflorin, both passionate about fragrance, found themselves dreaming out loud about what a modern Swiss perfumery could be. That conversation turned into something real. From the start, the founders positioned BODÉ STUDIOS as a house willing to take creative risks. They chose to work with independent perfumers, develop original compositions rather than rely on stock bases, and enter their work into international competitions early. The gamble paid off. BODÉ STUDIOS became the first Swiss fragrance brand to win an Art and Olfaction Award, a milestone that signaled the house was operating on a global stage. The brand describes itself as offering "Best-In-Class Niche Perfumery," a phrase that reflects both confidence and ambition. With each launch, the founders continue to expand a catalog that stays deliberately compact, prioritizing depth over volume. Each release represents months of development and refinement, with the team treating every fragrance as a complete project rather than a product cycle. At the core of BODÉ STUDIOS is a belief that niche perfumery should feel personal, surprising, and uncompromisingly creative. The founders built the house to be a platform for bold olfactory ideas, working with perfumers who are willing to challenge convention rather than play it safe. What sets the brand apart is its pairing of Swiss precision with emotional storytelling. Each composition is treated as a narrative, built around a concept, a mood, or a memory. The house talks about its work in terms of "four scents, four stories, one discovery," a line that captures how seriously they take the creative arc of every release. BODÉ STUDIOS also operates with a curator's mentality. Rather than flooding the market, the team releases slowly, allowing space for each fragrance to find its audience. This restraint, paired with a willingness to enter major awards and earn global recognition, defines the brand's creative stance: quality and originality over scale.
