A house, in its own words
Asad Ali Siddiki spent roughly fourteen years working in Pakistani television, film, and media production before turning his attention to fragrance. According to his own portfolio site, he is a professional filmmaker and marketer with that depth of experience in TV and media. The move into perfumery followed what he has described in his own words as a five-year fragrance journey spanning multiple countries, a period of learning and development that preceded the formal launch of the brand. Asad Siddiki Fragrances was officially founded in 2024 in Karachi, with the first release arriving that same year. The early catalogue grew quickly, and by 2025 the house had introduced titles like Somewhere, Miles Away and Lost Traveller alongside a wave of new launches including Amber, The Dusk, Wanderlust, Echoes of Yesterday, Equilibrium, Summer High, and The Unsaid. The brand's identity draws from the founder's background as a storyteller, with naming conventions that lean toward mood and movement rather than traditional perfumery conventions. The creative direction at Asad Siddiki is shaped by the founder's transition from filmmaking to scent, an unusual path that informs how the brand conceptualizes fragrance. Rather than positioning perfumes as static luxury objects, the house frames them as narrative pieces, evidenced by names like Lost Traveller, The Unsaid, Echoes of Yesterday, and Somewhere, Miles Away. This storytelling approach reflects Siddiki's professional roots in visual media and suggests a vision of perfumery as an extension of mood, memory, and place. The brand operates with a direct-to-consumer model through WhatsApp and social channels, keeping the distance between creator and wearer short. Each release reads as a chapter rather than a product, a deliberate choice that ties the creative output back to the founder's identity as a communicator.
