Heritage
A house, in its own words
Tatyana Ekaterinina was born in Siberia near Lake Baikal, the world's deepest freshwater lake, before spending her formative years in St. Petersburg. Her connection to aromatic plants and natural materials developed early, shaped by the botanical richness of the Siberian landscape and St. Petersburg's cultural institutions. After extensive travel, she relocated to Germany where she partnered with perfumer Natalie Feisthauer to establish Alendor around 2020. The brand's stated aim was to create a fragrance house grounded in storytelling and creative independence. Initial releases in 2020 included Wild Night, Taboo, and Silence, establishing the house's range from contemplative to provocative. The following years brought continued development, with 2025 marking a significant expansion through new compositions including Xtasy, R.B.M., Games, Skywalk, and Barut. The brand maintains a deliberate eight-fragrance collection, resisting expansion beyond what Ekaterinina can oversee personally. Alendor positions fragrance as a vehicle for personal narrative rather than a purely aesthetic accessory. The house explicitly rejects mass-market conventions in favor of compositions that function as individual creative statements. Rather than launching seasonal collections or limited editions, the brand develops each fragrance as a standalone work meant to stand the test of time. The philosophy centers on artistic independence, with the founder maintaining close involvement in every aspect of development. Collaboration with experienced perfumers like Natalie Feisthauer brings technical expertise while preserving the house's distinctive perspective. The approach prioritizes originality over trend-following, seeking to create scents that challenge expectations while remaining wearable. This measured, intentional stance shapes everything from ingredient selection to the naming of each fragrance.
