Ted Rohn
Before Ted Rohn launched Raer Scents in 2017, he spent years as a Creative Director moving through London's advertising agencies, Paris's design studios, and New York's editorial offices. His trajectory placed him at the intersection of brand storytelling and sensory experience, yet something restless pulled him toward fragrance as a more immediate, more visceral form of communication. He wanted to create something bold and modern using only natural ingredients. When the market offered no such option, he simply built it himself. What began as personal dissatisfaction became an atelier in Berlin, where Rohn now crafts scents that reject the compromise between responsibility and impact.

How Ted composes
Rohn gravitates toward materials with presence: ambery warmth, creamy sandalwood, bright citrus that cuts rather than merely refreshes. His formulations favor clarity and directness over complexity for its own sake. He builds around contrast, pairing the richness of natural woods with unexpected freshness or tension. The result carries weight without heaviness, modernity without trend-chasing. Each Raer composition reflects a designer sensibility, where every element earns its place through contribution rather than accumulation.
Philosophy
What drives Ted
Rohn operates without the usual caveats. He works exclusively with ethically sourced natural ingredients because he believes synthetic materials introduce a disconnect he refuses to accept. His process strips away the distance between intention and material. Each fragrance must feel vital, present, unapologetically alive. He treats natural perfumery not as a constraint but as a discipline that demands greater precision. The goal always remains the same: create something that hits with honesty and force, nothing added for mere effect, nothing held back for market safety.
